okay, this might be a stupid question, but how does edward work? i tried downloading it, but it just gave me several strings of code. i have always wanted to make a good video game, and i have tried to learn programming several times before, but my brain simply cannot program. so how does it work? do i have to download something else for it to run? do i have to buy something?
i have flash player installed, not the actual adobe flash kit thingy. and whenever i try to save it, it saves it as something like "edward.fla.txt". then i try to change the file extension to be simply "edward.fla", but my computer still reads it as a text file.
isn't there some open-source alternative to adobe flash? i think its called something like swiffmaster.
perhaps i should simply download the free 30-day trial of flash.
ahh awesome! I suggest changing the colour of the parts of the level behind you, so it reads a bit better.
Also, imo pixels really limit your art, vector animations and painted photoshop backgrounds would REALLY let you express your own style, making your games stand out more. Though you already have your own style here so its all good
